in the fall garden

Beautiful hot pink asters which I never remember to cut back in June, so they grow tall and floppy. That is ok, all the better to cut and bring indoors.


Hops! My aunt gave us a root from her hops plant. We planted it and it grew! I use hops to give my bread a boost, an as a tea. Hops is a soporific, quite soothing at the end of a long day.
